The US auto market is reliving the muscle car trend of 1960s and'70s lately. Almost all the big brands like GM, Ford and Chrysler have launched their updated version of muscle cars to set that nostalgic mood. However, with its looks, power, price and fuel efficiency, GM's long awaited 2010 Chevy Camaro stands out of the bunch. The stunning heritage-inspired design with modern cues makes it a definite head-turner.
The four-passenger coupe comes in LS, LT, and top-of-the-line SS trim levels. The "base" engine is the same DOHC, 24-valve 3.6L V-6 that serves in the 2008 Motor Trend Car of the Year, the Cadillac CTS, which is capable to produce 300 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The higher version has a 6.2-liter V8 engine under its hood producing 422 horsepower and 408 pound-feet of torque. You can reach 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds with the V6 engine and guess how fast you can accelerate to 60 mph with the V8 power? GM says that it touches the mark at a blazingly fast 4.7 seconds.
