Overview

The Chevy 2010 Silverado 2500 HD is a 3/4-ton full-size heavy-duty pickup truck. The Silverado 2500 HD is a capable cargo-hauler that lives up to its reputation of being a real workhorse with massive towing and hauling capacities. The Silverado 2500 HD enters 2010 with minor changes. A USB connectivity in center console enabling stored audio files to play through the audio system and battery charging for some handheld devices and two exterior colors: Taupe Gray Metallic and Sheer Silver Metallic are new. The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is available in Regular Cab, Extended Cab and Crew Cab body styles with short or long bed lengths and three trims levels - Work Truck, LT and LTZ.

Power and performance

Buyers can choose two drivetrains on the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD: a standard 360-horsepower Vortec 6.0-liter V8 engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode and an optional 365-horsepower Duramax Diesel 6.6-liter V8 Turbo-Diesel engine mated to Allison 1000 Series six-speed automatic transmission. All 2010 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD models are offered in two-wheel and four-wheel drive systems.
